A Brief History About The Blog

Behind The Waterfall has somewhat of a rocky history. Back when it was strictly called “The Anzanite”, its original intent was to give myself a voice for injustices I thought I had suffered. Throughout the course of several months, the posts escalated from frustration to anger. After spending some time with God and getting an email that opened my eyes, I took the site in a whole different direction. Thus, the original site I deleted completely and returned to just the blog.

After some decisions that led me to moving to Texas, I rebranded the site from the Anzanite to Behind The Waterfall.

About Me

I have been involved in Children’s Ministry for several years. I started by working with a Pre-school ministry in High School and have since worked in ministry from pre-school to Junior high. During the 2006-2007 School year, I was an aide to an elementary class and part way through the year taught a Kindergarten class at a private school. During the 2007-2008 school year, I taught at Anza Valley Christian School along side a wonderful teacher working on her masters. It was this experience that helped shape my philosophy on education and reveal to me the purpose God has for my life. I am forever indebted to the students, parents, and my former co-teacher for giving me a first year teaching experience I will never forget.

This blog is now basically my spiritual and professional journey through life. Some of it might seem boring. That is OK. They things that God has shown me are amazing and I can hardly contain it all. Some posts are personal while others are based on observations or information I have learned. Thank you for taking the time to read my posts. If you like what you read, please feel free to subscribe to my blog.

Many Blessings,

Mr. Josh
